The paintings are made in oil on high quality linen or cotton canvas, using fine art brushes and oil colours mostly produced in Europe. They are developed through a series of stages from a detailed drawing up to a finished work of art, following the Old Masters technique. These stages include: imprimatura, underdrawing, grisaille, dead layer, color underpainting, details and glazing layers. This is an elaborate, multi-layered approach to oil painting. According to the painting category, three different methods are used: Alla-Prima, Multi-Layered and Glazing. Paintings made upon the Old Masters technique, particularly on linen, will stand the test of time and can be passed down through the generations.
